Photo GPS Tagger is a tool for recording GPS tracks and writing GPS location information to photos based on their capture time. We respect your privacy. This policy explains how the app handles location, photo, and track data.
1. Personal Data Collection
The app does not require an account and does not upload your GPS tracks, photos, or photo processing results to the developer's server by default. The core processing is performed locally on your device.
The app does not provide any remote access channel for the developer to access this data. Even if you use system sharing or export features, files are only sent through the method and to the recipients you choose. The developer does not automatically receive your track data, photos, or exported CSV files.
2. Location Data
The app requests location permission to:
- record GPS track points;
- preview your current location;
- continue recording tracks in the background or while the screen is off, so they can later be matched to photo capture times.
Location tracks are stored locally on your device by default. You can clear the history in the app or export tracks as CSV files.
3. Photo Data
The app requests photo library access to read photo capture time, check whether a photo already has GPS metadata, and write matched GPS location information into photo metadata.
The app automatically skips photos that already contain GPS location data, photos without capture time, and photos without a matching local track point.
4. Data Storage and Export
Track data is stored locally on your device. CSV export files are saved, shared, or deleted by you. We do not automatically receive or store these files.
5. Third-Party Services
The app does not include advertising SDKs, does not track you across apps, and does not use third-party analytics services to collect your personal data.
6. Children's Privacy
The app is intended for general users and does not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child's personal information has been handled improperly, please contact us at the email address on this page.
7. Changes to This Policy
We may update this privacy policy if app features or data handling practices change. The updated policy will be posted on this page with a new effective date.
